The owner removed the firing pin assembly from the slide and removed some material on the firing pin where the travel was being stopped by the housing, allowing the pin to travel farther. Worked for him. To that particular end I have spent time polishing the faces (sides) of the entire length of the firing pin so that it theoretically glides easier in the channel.
